It's never too late to start acting. Unlike modeling, where they prefer you to be younger, acting is a great creative outlet for all ages. I turned 23 this May, and I just got invloved in my local theatre. Check out your local theatre groups for auditions and volunteer info. It's a great way to get your foot in the door. Good Luck!
PS-You can always Google or Yahoo your hometown or nearby cities to learn about the theatre there.

Audition for a community theatre production. If you don't get cast, offer to help build the set or work as a crew member. Take an acting class at your local community college. Check out plays from your local library and read them. Get familiar with the classic plays. Go to plays and watch the actors. See if your local professional theatre is offering a workshop for people in the community. Read books on acting. If you are interested then no, it is not too late to start. Not everyone will be successful in finding work- just begin with this as a hobby - don't quit your day job- and maybe paid work will follow!

It is not too late to start. the way to start is to make sure you have a good day job, then begin auditioning for roles in your community theatres and start a program of reading, later you will want to take professional acting lessons. It helps to have a mentor to guide your quest for an acting career. Click on my name, read my profile and contact me at my aol address and I will be happy to help further.
