My favorite disposable is Target's generic brand. With our baby boy, we found that the size is the same as Pamper's or Huggies (in between the two), and it was the only generic we found that he didn't pee out of. So many of the generics break down so that there's gel on the baby or leak etc... We tried Luvs (not bad), Pamper's (good), Huggies (good) Marsh generic (didn't like), CVS generic (didn't like) Wal-Mart generic (didn't like) and White Cloud (not too bad). We settled on the Target brand due to quality as well as cheaper price. Good luck! (:

Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers for new babies. At my shower someone bought me a huge box of size 2 and size 3 diapers which was wonderful. If you buy bigger diapers for future use I would buy Pampers Baby-Dry. Make sure you include a receipt for any diapers or wipes you buy. If the baby uses a different type the parents will need a receipt (even a gift receipt is good) to exchange them for another brand.

A good idea would be to get a laundry basket and put a couple packs of diapers, a pack or two of wipes, diaper rash cream (Butt Paste is the best!), and baby powder all in the basket.

Happy shopping!!

Pampers Swaddlers worked best for my son when he was born. He was only 5 lbs 12 oz so everything else just hung off of him . He's now 8 weeks and 3 days old and we use whatever diaper we have at the moment.

I tried Huggies newborn, Target brand dipers and pampers swaddlers. I found that the Pampers Swaddler worked best with my daughter. The target brand seemed to always leak and the huggies always seemed to cause irritation.

Pampers, Pampers, Pampers.
They fit perfect. The huggies leaked so bad on my daughter and nephew. It ran right down there leg. Buy the newborn in the small packs. Then buy bulk . Plus they smell good to. They have a code on the packets of any of there products and you put the numbers in the computer and get reward points for there prizes...

The Pampers newborn. They are cut out for the umbilical cord and they are much softer than any other brand. They almost feel like an old t-shirt, perfect for a new baby. My hospital gave me samples of all different brands, so you could choose from there rather than wasting money on diapers you may not like. But Pampers are great!

I used both Huggies Gentle Care and Pampers Swaddlers. I liked Huggies better, but it's just a personal preference. They are both cottony-soft and absorb rather well. Why don't you order a sample of each diaper of the web and decide that way, which diaper you prefer.

the only ones that fit y son when he was born were the newborn sizes in pampers swaddlers. none of the other brands offered them small enough in any of the stores we went to. he was 7lbs 9 oz when he was born and wore these for about a month

I loved huggies gentle weave onces. I tried pamper swaddlers and didnt care for them. We also tried other no name brands and we still use huggies. I wouldnt suggest buying 2 many newborn sizes cause they usually only fit up to 10lbs and sometimes babys grow really quickly.
