in the 70's the US gave millions to LA and NO to rebuild the Levy's... They Built the Football stadium instead.

I don't think its as much that we think they are smarter,as much as they are more experienced. I can say that taking the money to fix the Levy's and diverting it to build casinos was not a very smart idea.

That is New Orleans Governments fault,Not the federal Government. They had the money and chose not to spend it on levies.

If Louisiana spent federal levee money as it was intended (for the building of levees) and environmentalists didn't sue every time they started building them, maybe that would work.

You misspelled "levee." Anyone who chooses to live below sea level, no matter the precautions, is not too bright.
