I was watching HSM2 with my little sister and my boyfriend was also watching with us, reluctantly though. He has the most amazing singing voice and is freakishly gifted musically. He said, "how come the lead chick has the worst singing voice? She's the lead just because she's hot?" Now, I love music but am not musical in any way. Did anyone else find (or have someone else say) that Vanessa is the worst singer in HSM? I honestly had no idea.

i think she is a great singer and who is he to judge apparently a lot of people like her if they are buying her cd and her music is generated for younger kids

Her voice is a little thin, but she hits all the notes.
The fact that she's hot just adds to it.
The person who REALLY lost out in HSM2 was Lucas, Sharpay's brother. He is a superb dancer, but didn't get a chance to showcase his talents at all.
My kids (7 yr old twins) loved HSM, but were not impressed or enthused at all with HSM2 - until the final song. They liked that.

since your bf is talented in music, he should know if vanessa
has a good voice or not. i like her in hsm better.i wouldn't say she is the worst though,but if she looks hot ,i guess that's all that matters.

When she sings songs with the whole cast it's a little weird because you always hear her screaming in the background, lol.
But in "I Gotta Go My Own Way" I thought she sang ok.
Just my opinion.

I don't think she has a bad voice at all.I love her voice.I think its amazing.A lot of people think she has a great voice but I guess that's just your boyfriends opinion.Everyone has different opinions of things.
