A school is not lame because of who it is named after. That's just its name, not its philosophy. Do you think the teachers or students had any say in who the school was named after?

What makes a school is the committment of its teachers and staff, the achievement of its students... and how can you judge that just based on their name or website?

Same with this one - http://www.nps.k12.nj.us/shabazz/index.htm
Malcolm X High School in New Jersey. Don't judge the school based on its name.

Why do you consider this school lame? Is it because it believes in giving to their nation VS sucking it dry?

No, mine was.

We got Douglas Macarthur's birthday off, but not MLK.

We had a complete course on him alone.
