Don't have a lot of spare money right now. Was going to wait til Christmas time to use my vacation time, but I have to get away from my job... It's driving me nuts!

Thought something in the North Ga Mtns area might be nice, but I'm not having any luck finding anything that looks appealing. Something on the Ga Coast would be relaxing. I just have to be able to take my 3 dogs (all under 50 lbs) with me.

Have any ideas?

i absolutley love helen, ga. its a quaint little town nesteled in the ga mountains. you can get a cabin/hotel on the chatahoochee river. its not a big party town, very relaxing, and pet friendly with a lot of cool stores and beautiful scenery

My husband and I are going to Sylvania Ga in September 14-16 to watch the late model dirt race! I'm not sure what their restrictions on pets are but I think it would be fun! And the tickets are only like 15 dollars to the race and the hotel is only 54.99+ tax a night!! Maybe you could do something like that! but having 3 dogs IS going to hinder what you can do and where you can go!!

Well, you definitely have plenty of choices.

For North Georgia, you might want to visit Gainesville. There's a Ramada Limited ( http://www.resideo.com/us/georgia/gainesville/64966694.hotel ) that's pet-friendly with decent rates.
There's also Lavonia, which has a pet-friendly Super 8 ( http://www.resideo.com/us/georgia/lavonia/26487860.hotel ). In Dillard, there's another Ramada ( http://www.resideo.com/us/georgia/dillard/04344859.hotel ) which is pet friendly.

As someone else mentioned, you might want to visit Stone Mountain. Lots to do, and all within budget. There's a Best Western ( http://www.resideo.com/us/georgia/stonemountain/02198940.hotel ) that allows pets.

Hope that helps...Good luck and have fun!

I know there are cabins at Lookout Mountain (Rock City) that are pet friendly. :)

Good luck! :)
