I'm pretty sure this is A or E, because the dorsal nerve cord is hollow, because it forms from an invagination of tissue during embryo development. Mesoderm doesn't develop until afterward...i'm pretty sure its ectoderm, which is choice 1. Number 4 is correct if it refers to that infolding of external tissue.

The answer is E, 1 and 4. The neural tube in vertebrates forms from ectoderm and from a fold in the developing embryo.

The neural tube is formed when the ectoderm invaginates logitudinally, as a result the two neural folds flanking the groove rise up and the groove is closed to form a neural canal.
