It greatly depends on what type of vacation you like . if you don't like crowds, you would stay away from that. If you want quiet you would go to the french countryside instead of Paris.
Florida- DO you like Theme parks? if you do then you have places to go but also theres beauty in Florida with out going to the theme parks. explore the everglades and historical sites.
good luck

I don't know about Florida, but quite well about Paris where I lived for years.

Paris changed a lot during the last 30 years and the average American tourist is unable to notice that because he doesn't use to stay there longer than the rquired time to visit the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysees avenue and do a bit of shopping.

Living and working in Paris is quite a different thing. Parisians are stressed, worried, depressed and, as a result, most of them are unpleasant and impolite. Prices are unreasonable and unjustified, especially in cafés and restaurants which are supposed to constitute one the main entertainments.

There are too many dishonest people, crooks, pickpockets, bums, and other similar folks crowding the streets and means of transportation. Overall, the city is awfully noisy and traffic is permanently jammed but late in the night and on sundays. Labor union strikes in collective means of transportation happen on a near daily basis.

Unemployement and low wages are on the high and rising.
