confront her then tell her how sorry you are... and tell her that is just your ex?

A few people here are suggesting that you've done something wrong and should have "known" that sleeping with her ex was going to hurt her. I am of the opinion that being an ex means there's no longer any emotional ties thereby making exes fair game. (Hell, everybody's someone's ex. Why is anyone obligated to respect lines that USED to be there?) That's only relevant here in determining what you should do to make things better between you and your former friend. I would talk to her about it if she's open to discussing it with you (being careful not to ram your opinions down her throat), but I certainly wouldn't be apologizing...you've done nothing wrong. Maybe just going shopping together or to lunch will give you both a chance to catch up a bit....maybe you don't need to bring the ex up at all. Just "feel" the situation out and see how it goes. Good luck to you.

Sometimes an ex is not quite as ex as you might think. You just might have lost a friend for good. You should not sleep with the ex of a good friend it is like sleeping with your sister's man and I bet that is how she sees it too.
Apologize, and explain that if you had known she would be so upset you might have done differently. Tell the truth whatever it is and ask her to forgive you. Tell her that you want to be friends again and assure her that nothing like this will ever happen again and mean it. Then you must wait to see what she says, the ball really is in her court and she does not have to forgive you or be your friend again. Learn a lesson from this and move on with your life.

Some women take that very personal. What I would do is hand write a letter, it's more personal and tell her how sorry you are and buy or computer make a nice card and mail it.
This is very touch and go. If she doesn't respond you can try calling in 2 weeks and see how things go. Tell her you are very sorry. Don't mention any of her errors. This is not the time.
I wish you the best of luck. It hurts to lose a good friend.

Apologize, apologize, apologize. And let some time pass. Although they are exes there are more than likely still feelings. Even if she swore up and down that she hated him and wanted him to break both his legs and hit by a mac truck.
What you did was wrong and you need to accept that. Truly accept it before you go back and talk to her.

That really hurt her alot. You should understand that what you did is not so good. Give her time to cool down, maybe, you could write to her n apologise. If that didnt help, keep sending n expect a negative reaction. Or just live with the guilt.

she won't be your friend again. and she is right. you are not a good friend. How does she know you are not going to do the same thing again, or try to get with her next boyfriend. sorry to say, you lost a good friend.

Sometimes there is no going back. I lost a friend 15 years ago for the same exact thing. She never spoke to me again.... to this day. =(
Learn from your mistake and take it with you.
