I usually ask a neighbour to feed them but they are sometimes away at teh same time as me and it would be useful to leave their food and water in a hopper.

I've got one of those cat dish things. It's electronic, and rotates my food for me automatically. When feeding time comes, it opens another side and I can eat, but not too much.

But then again I'm one funny bunny.

Bad idea to leave rabbits alone for a few days. For one thing you can't expect rabbits to regulate their food intake, no. What's more important is that rabbits should be checked at least once a day, especially if they live outdoors, to make sure they haven't got flystrike - this can kill in a few hours. You also need someone who can make sure the rabbits don't stop eating/pooing - first signs of illness. And if they live in a hutch, they can't be left in there for a few days of course!

I would think leaving a decent supply of food and water is fine, as they will, like us, hopefully, only eat what they feel they need.
However my sister let the rabbit have a free run of the garden for a few days whilst on holiday.
A fox eat the rabbit.
Just the skull & bones left.
I then shot the fox, and fed it to the pigs.
Nature does that.
Hey Ho.

Of course they will eat it all and they will need fresh water daily- it amounts to neglect if you go away and leave them like that no matter how much food you leave it. You should not have pets if you can leave the care of them to someone responsible when you have to go away. Try looking for a pet sitter in your area who will charge you, but will ensure your pet is well looked after whilst you are away.

I don't think it would be a very good idea to leave your bunny unattended for more than 24 hours. the food is not the main problem, your rabbit will become very ill very quicky if it doesn't have fresh water every day

It would not be advisable to leave your rabbits longer than a day they could dirty on their food then they would not eat it,or if the weather changes they could dehydrate due to lack of water, anyway now you have put this on line the R.S.P.C.A.could pay you a visit, find a Friend to look-in on them to be safe.

Yes and most likely run out of water. Ask a friend or relative to feed them. Plus the weather is supposed to be getting hotter so you need some one to check on them

No you must find someone to feed them and give them fresh hay and water every day - there are some people who will board them for you for a few quid - ask your local vet or rescue

it wouldnt last long and they would run out of water.

try looking up your local pet sitter or ask a friend/work mate to have them or pop in every day and check on them.

it wouldnt be fair if you left them on their own even for a couple of days, rabbits like company and will miss you.
