Well I do the usual plan surprises for people at work and dress up and party in the evening. Besides the normal gory treats of gummy spiders and candies, cakes and cupcakes we also bob for apples and I cook a couple of pork loin roast then shape them into the body of a ghoul and I also have a round beef roast that looks like a spider. These are slices so that everyone can make sandwiches and the color of the cheese is off the hook all green and black. What ever food you chose to have food coloring makes everything great with green jello all over the place and marshmallows stretched all over the table and deserts looking like spider webs.

I really love caramel apples. I do make a very nice moist pumpkin gooey cake. I also love to roast pumpkin seeds. Last year I had some friends over, and we had chocolate pudding with whip cream and we drew ghost faces on them in black decorative icing, and I made witch hats from upside-down Fudge Stripe cookies and Hershey's kisses (glued with orange icing).
Oddly enough just about of habit I grew up having spaghetti for dinner on Halloween, because it's easy and fast. But burgers do just as well, it's all the desserts that seem to be more festive.
