I can't bake a decent biscuit, and I've quit trying, because it's frustrating and the results are always awful.

A friend of mine, who used to be food editor of the local paper, told me about the frozen ones at Kroger, and I was astounded at how good and fluffy they are.

Now, why would I frustrate myself in the kitchen when I can just pop a few of these in the oven?

Mountain Gal: Trust me. If I could, I would. I've learned to accept my limitations, and biscuits top the list.

You are so right. I just buy the individually frozen ones now in the package. I think they are just as good as the homemade ones.

I first discovered these from a small store called "Chicken, Etc." Then I found out that the place where I worked used these biscuits in their cafeteria. It was eye opening for me and I have used them since that time. I like the idea that you don't have to use the whole can. You can just take one out of the zipper bag and put back in the freezer.

I have never had a problem turning out fluffy biscuits without a recipe or trouble. It takes only a very few minutes after all. But then I have the same attitude about the apple strudel that I make occasionally for my family--no recipe--no need--wonderful results every time.

I usually make biscuits from Bisquick, but my mom lives alone and she loves the convience of the frozen ones. A couple yrs ago I was a waitress and people raved about our biscuits. They couldn't believe it when I told them they were frozen.

They're very good. Though earlier years my children would have laughed me out of the kitchen as I get older and cook for less people this is the way to go--amazing what wonderful quality they are.
