No. I mean if youre in a house thats burning... The easiest way out is the smartest decision.

But if youre talking about suicide... then thats a totally different story because you dont know whats OUT there.

Not always. Sometimes the easy way out is better when it will save a lot of unnecessary conflict. Sometimes, after weighing all the facts and really searching for other ways that might work, it is the only way that seems to make the most sense.
It isn't wrong unless it causes more problems and conflict.

Have a nice day, enki.

Not always. There are times when our minds act quicker and give as the smarter options to save us some trouble. But first we need to carefully analyze the means by which we'll be taking our route out of that matter. Although most of our hastened decisions end up in mess, and are faulty in nature, they always teach us good lessons in life.
But when it comes to using bribes or grease resources to get things done quickly; where the risk of being offended is clearly seen,..then nothing is better than going through the right channel with all the legalities in the regularity of time.

Easy is not always that easy at times.

it is said that the right way is difficult to cover and wrong way is easy to cover
but
it depends upon the situations.
in some cases yes the easy way out is wrong and in some cases the situation is opposite to first one.
but in general case you will find hindrances onthe way of virtue and these obstacles letting
you not toachieve your target easily , perhaps it is the test of faith but remember a man never has more load than that of his strength.
whereas on the way of evil you will find that distance is covering smoothly with out any hindrance rather you will find co-operation
but the end of evil is always bad , no matter the start and centre are good and it is like easy come, easy go
but the end of right way never goes fruitless, no matter the start and centre are worst.and the real taste in the fruit which is earned by the right activities.

It really depends on the circumstances. The easy way out is usually wrong, because good things come with effort. Simply looking for a short-cut or quick withdrawal reduces the amount of success that could be gained.

If the easy way out was right, wouldn't we all be investors; we would be sure of gaining wealth quickly. But that's what makes people fear of investing - fear. They fear they may lose all their possessions. And I believe fear and risk puts our society in order. Too much fear would cause mayhem, while too little would cause all of us to be gazillionaires for some and complete beggars for others.

And that's what makes life a great "game". We learn through trial-and-error. We are not made perfect. We always make mistakes. As we grow older, we notice that it takes effort and determination to get what you want in life. If you take short cuts your cheating. But your not cheating anyone. Your cheating yourself.

Great question.

No... some ways out are easy and right! In physics the right way out is mostly the easy way. There is no deep mystery in your question! The proverb expression "the easy way out" is implying an illegal/wrong way out..., but it is nothing but a situation specific proverb. It has no realistic application besides language play!

Note: Proverbs, expressions and language games are not to be taken literally... they follow an insight precedent! A proverbial wink wink!

I would say that it's not ALWAYS wrong, but you want to think before you make a decision, or at least know what you are doing. The burning house example was a good one; it's usually only in emergencies that the easiest way is right. Otherwise, you must take your time and attack the problem at the root; where it came from.

Most of the time yes but there are certain situations that require that you take the easy way out those usually involve emergencies or situations that require a less intrusive approach.

What are your thoughts on your Question, Enki? Mine is that the easiest way out when you get into a predicament, is not the right way to go, because if you started it face the Music. On the other hand, if you find that telling the truth will not help you any, than find the easiest way out.

Not always. The best way often is to admit first what you got into was wrong. That may be hard, but the way out is easy after that. Complications always get in the way. That''s why one of AA's best slogans is "EASY DOES IT".

[Suicide is anything but an easy way out.]
