Why is there constant scandel among the Republican Party?

Besides Clinton and Kennedy's promiscuty - there seems to be a lot of corruption among them.

Very easy to answer.

For 6 years they have been getting away with legislative murder and hiding their own dirty laundry and dirty deeds and now that the opposition party is in power, that is hellishly pizzzzed off for being lied too to vote for war, along with republican arrogance -- it only stands to reason that the republicans have finally come to the day where they will have to pay the piper.

Because the President's a Republican and the balance of power in Congress is still very close, so the Republican party is still the most powerful right now. Therefore, since scandal among the powerful sells more papers, those are the ones you hear about most. If the Dems win the Presidency or take a stronger majority in Congress you'll start hearing about all of their scandals.

Well, for one thing, the Republican Party has become known as the "Party of Do Nothing Hypocrits"

For SIX YEARS, they OWNED Washington DC. Could have done anything- Passed Constitutional Amendments against gay marriage, a balanced budget, etc, could have closed the borders and proved they are as tough on terrorism as they claim, could have abolished abortion in the US. Instead, they took bribes and tried to outdo Catholic priests in the child molestion arena. They did NOTHING for 6 years but whine about Clinton's BJ and Teddy Kennedy's driving record.

Now they trot out William Jefferson Smith in LA., who hasn't even been INDICTED, let alone convicted (so much for Republicans still believing in "Innocent Until Proven Guilty"- or in Larry Craig's case, "Innocent Until Accepting a Plea Deal"), as the ONE argument they have to support "Democratic scandal".

Putting your head in the sand doesnt erase the fact that the democrats are neck deep in scandals all the time. Just because the mainstream media does its best to avoid reporting on democrat lapses in ethics or law breaking doesnt mean that it doesnt happen ALL the time. Reid, Feinstein, Clinton, Jefferson, Frank and many more- campaign finance, land deals, voter fraud, bribery and so much more
You'd be hard pressed to find a truly honest politician. The difference between the republicans and democrats is that republicans typically force their bad apples to resign and the democrats circle the wagons around them even if they are clearly wrong. Democrats are also more apt to accuse republicans of wrong doing where there is none simply to gain political advantage. It is all very sad.

There is scandal going as high as treason in the Democratic Party. The lib media chooses to sweep it under the rug.

Bill Clinton got impeached for lying about a BJ. That was a red herring. He should have gotten impeached and convicted for treason. He sold our national security to Red China for money to finance his 1996 reelection campaign.

Interesting that the only corruption you notice from the democratic side is 'Clinton and Kennedy's promiscuity'. If that's all you think, it seems you're not a big follower of the news or a student of history.

My point being, OH MY GAWD, have you looked at the democratic scandals over the years? I don't mind if you take a swipe at Republicans when they deserve it, but please. If you're going to swing, you might not want to stand there with your ignorant face wide open to the response.

1. The prostitution ring run out of Barney Franks (Democrat) office.

2. The $90,000 in bribe money found in the Freezer of
Willam Jefferson (Democrat)

3. Rep. Kennedy's (Democrat) crashing his car will under the infuence of drugs and his allowing a police coverup

4. Sandy Berger theft of classified documents from the
National Archives

5. Robert Toricelli (Democrat) illegal acceptance of gifts from political financiers

6. The DNC's fines for illegal fund raising activites

7. James McGreevey - Democrat - New Jersey Governor . Admitted to having a gay affair. Resigned after allegations of sexual harassment, rumors of being blackmailed on top of fundraising investigations and indictments.

8. Gary Condit - Democrat - US Democratic Congressman from California. Condit had an affair with an intern. Condit, covered up the affair and lied to police after she went missing.

9. Jesse Jackson - Democrat - Democratic candidate for President. Admitted to having an extramarital affair and fathering a illegitimate child.

10. Sowande Ajumoke Omokunde - Democrat - the son of newly elected U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, was booked on charges of criminal damage to property for allegedly slashing tires on 20 vans and cars rented by the Republican Party for use in Election Day voter turnout efforts.

11. John Murtha, Jr. - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania. Implicated in the Abscam sting, in which FBI agents impersonating Arab businessmen offered bribes to political figures; Murtha was cited as an unindicted co-conspirator

So whats with the constant and decades long scandals of the Democratic Party ????

We Democrats have had our share of scandal - though most of it has been corruption, not sexual.

Consider Jefferson (still seated!) ... and of course Rostenkowski.

By number, however, I think at least recently the Republicans have simply swamped the Democrats on scandals ... and it has NOTHING to do with media orientation. It may, however, have something to do with them being in power and in a better position to be corrupt.

When you look for examples of Democratic scandals, you'll get Jefferson, Clinton's lie about his sexual habits ... and then they'll reach back to pre NEO-CON days (Rostenkowski). If you look at the Republican list you get 20 or 30 names JUST WITHIN THIS YEAR.

I really do think it has more to do with who holds power than any inate characteristics about the parties.

There is scandal on both sides, sexual or corruption but at least on the Dem side Clinton was caught with a member of the OPPOSITE SEX unlike Foley, Craig or DeLay, closeted gays, who lusted after under aged male pages or in Craig's case, looking for some action in the men's room

Because politicians for the most part suck. They are humans and therefore corruptible. This is not to imply that this corruption is restricted to just one party or the other. There is one word associated almost the entirety of the Democrat Party which makes most of the follies of the republicans pale in comparison. That word is socialism.
