Eisenhower, was wrong, just ask Hitler and Tojo. War settles everything. Ask Sherman. As far as the money goes, give him 100 Billion and see who messes with us.

And how much is Bush planning to give Syria, Saudi Arabia, ect in free weapons? Something like 50 billion also. Crazy, then in 10-years we can fight Syria and we will be attacked by our own weapons again.
How about just being oil free and telling the rest of the world to deal with war by themselves?

Although I think the issue is far far more complex than this, ultimately I agree.
The President has the perrogative to decide where moneys are spent in the military - the idea that simply refusing to pay the bill harms the soldier in Baghdad only makes sense if the soldier stays in Baghdad.
Had Congress refused to fund the last go-around, the troops would be back now.

When did President Bush ever say that the War on Terror would be fast, easy, and over in a hurry? He warned us when he promoted the War on Terror that it would be long, and hard. So now that he's proven correct, you're still complaining? What does your foreign policy towards terrorism consist of? Catching Osama Bin Laden, the leader of only one of several islamic extremist groups over in the middle east? Can you list for me 6 high profile terrorist groups that exist in the middle east and eastern asia that have all sworn to hurt us? I doubt it.
Yeah, war never did anything except for end fascism, slavery, and communism. And the reason it did put an end to these things is because America had the stomach to do the difficult thing and stick it out. Don't wimp out now, that's what they want!

Bush needs to worry about what's going on in his own country. We're losing so many soldiers and dumping so much money into a black hole. I'd rather have my tax dollars take care of some of the many problems our country faces. And you're right. Congress DOES need to grow a set and stand up to the president.

Dear Bloggers, Yes, I have heard about Mr. Bush saying things equal to "I want an 'endless flow of money, and warm bodies", for the invasion of Iraq. Ofcourse, to Mr. Bush, anyone, with a differing view is a "terrorist sympathizer". Based upon Mr. Bushes actions, to date, I am PROUD to be a "terrorist sympathizer". NO, I do NOT advocate the needless destruction, of life, and property, but I, also, do NOT support, and actively CONDEMN, this "pre-emptive invasion". Right now, George Walker Bush is standing EXACTLY where Adolf Hitler stood, in the 1940's. Each of these men want(ed) to be a "living god", but they forgot about the price of success. Sure, Nazi tanks, once roared all over Europe, as far south as Africa (the Africa Corps), and as far north as Soviet Russia. If history teaches us anything, it is that bombs, and bullets, KILL, but they do NOT establish new governments. Look at France, for example. Hitler, and the Nazi's MAY have "controlled" Paris, but it was the French Resistance, the so-called "Underground", which "controlled", and was supported by, the French People. As for those so-called "attack", and "invasion", plans, for attacking the United States, hell, half of the planets governments have the same types of plans, to attack, and invade America, just as Washington has plans of its own. These are totally verifiable facts. Check your history books, and with the Pentagon. I suggest that you WRITE the Pentagon, to prevent a huge, long-distance bill. As for how MUCH George will have spent, by the time the "war" comes to an end, it sickens me to think that our great-great, grand-children will be required to pay for a war which only the Texas OIL billionairres wanted. Whats worse is how fast America's grave-yards are filling up, with America's young people, while Mr. Bush's own daughters stay, safely, protected behind layers of Secret Service, here at home. OUR family's blood is being spilled all over Iraq, and what will the outcome be? I predict eventual sanctions, against the United States, for attacking a NON-AGRESSOR nation. Whats worse is how many of OUR people will have to die, for the rich to say "It was worth it". Worst of all is that EVERY NATION, on Earth, is sending soldiers, to not only FIGHT, and KILL, Americans, but, more importantly, all potential, future, enemies have learned just what abilities that America has. They will know how to "skirt" our justice system, just as they have learned that America does NOT care how prison inmates are treated. In the next war, I doubt if the "Rules of Engagement" will, even, apply. Adolf Hitler invaded most of Europe, to establish Nazi dominance, over the world. Now, George Walker Bush has announced his continuing determination to invade most of the Middle East, to establish "democracy" around the world. Remember the theme, from Dragnet: The story you are about to see is true. Only the NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED. Compare the Nazi Party, of World War 2, with the Modern, Republican, Party, and see if you see any differences between the two. I hope this helps your understanding.
