I'm planning my "escape"...looking for a job, stashing away a few bucks here and there, getting "my ducks in a row" before I tell him we are over. In the mean time, I am pretending that I am happy and love him. I think I am doing a good job at it, but I wonder if he can tell by my body language or if I give off signals and am not even aware I am doing it. I dont like doing this or going through these charades, and dont feel bad for him, he had an affair and I am not able to get over it, so I am letting him go and I just have to prepare for it. Do you think he can tell, do you think he knows what my plans are, or is it possible that as long as I am a damn good actress, he'll be clueless?

I don't blame you for wanting out. I believe in the three As of ending a marriage: Adultery, Abuse, Addiction, but no other reasons. Anyway, men don't usually pick up on those kinds of signals, he's probably clueless.

You talk about his affair and while I don't condone that sort of thing, what you are doing is the SAME thing. You obviously got yourself into a marriage devoid of trust, honesty, and communication. He cheated, you lied and pretended.

By waiting to *lower the boom* on him, while he's clueless and walking around like nothings wrong, you are setting yourself up for BIG trouble down the road. Unless you plan to completely vanish, I'd let him know what your intentions now. Then divorce his @ss. Then move on. Like an adult.

This is how people end up getting killed by their ex's.

I think he will blame the distractions he sees in you on the affair that he had. If he isn't bringing it up then this is what is in his head and he is afraid to bring it up. Of course they sense when something is wrong. I really think it is mean to leave without telling him that you will be......however, who knows what I would do if my husband did this....I may well do the same thing.

He's probably so guilty he hasn't noticed. Are you sneaking away because that's your revenge??like shocking him??just curious as to why you aren't just telling him it's over.

There is no excuse for cheating. Leave him. Why do you care what he thinks.
