Well, WAY before Angelina Jolie had her kid and named her Shiloh that's what I was going to name my kid if it was a girl. I was sooo mad when I heard she named her baby that because now it looks like I'm a celebrity copy cat! I still kind of want to name my baby that but by the time I do have a child I think the buzz will have died down some. What do you think? If you saw Shiloh Anne Evans would you think, omg, Angelina fan!!!

BTW, I'm not pregnant, I just think its fun to think of future names lol.

I don't think you can consider yourself a celeb rip off. If you were to look at a celeb baby name site, you will see that it is chocked full of Lily's and Jennifer's and Jessica's and Amy's. Angelina Jolie doesn't have the market on Shiloh nor does Katie Homes have the market on Suri. How many Michaels and Davids do you know or Johns for that matter? Name your baby what you want and if someone accuses you of celebrity rip off, hope their kids name is extremely common and explain how at least your child's name is original.

No I would not even connect the two. People have been naming children Shiloh long before Angelina did and they will continue long after she is gone

the name shiloh always makes me think of that book about a dog. So I would not use it anyway.

But, if you like it, then do it!!! Its not like you are having a baby in 6 months or so, it will be years before you have to use any names, boy or girl!

Shiloh is a fairly common name if you wish to use it fine.just don't use the adopted kids names because they are not at all common and then people would think you were obsessed with Angelina and could not even pick a name for your child.Maddox,Zahara and Pax are not common but are not great names anyway,my opinion but to each their own! good luck.

Just simply state that you always liked the name, long before Angelina had her kiddo. It's like Aidan...people went buckwild for it and still are. I have loved that name since I was in elementary school lol, but I'll be dam*ed if someone is going to ruin my happiness.

I think it's too much buzz about this name now.
If you were pregnant now, I'd say not to name your girl so, however, I also think that few years later it will be forgotten just like any other celebrity kid's name.
When time comes, then you'll see what is going on and decide what to do.

Lots of people have the same name as famous people but that does not mean the Mother was a copy cat. Pick any name you choose.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with naming your child that! It's a cute name! Anyway, who cares what people think.

(I also love coming up with names for babies.....I have 4 kids, but I had names for 8 girls!!)

I dont really think a lot of people jumped on that name.. I think it nice as is Tom Cruise's baby name Suri.. but still I dont see many people askign about either of those names so you should be pretty safe.
