Getting faster is difficult. It is rather easy to gain endurance, but much of your speed is genetics.

One thing you can do is increase resistence while you are sprinting. By making it more difficult to run fast, you will build the right muscles to increase your speed.

You can carry a weight pack to increase your weight. These backpacks are designed to make you heavier while you train.

You probably don't want to invest in a resistance trainer. This is usually some typ of harness that is attached to a pulley system by a rope. The pulleys pull back on you as you run making it difficult to run fast.

An inexpensive thing to do is running sprints up a hill. This will also add resistance and help increase your speed.

All these things take time.

You are limited. There are some drills you can do to help increase your quickness but if you are a 5.0 time in the 40 there is not much you can do to try to drop it down to a 4.6 or 4.7. There is an old saying about how you can't teach speed. You either have it or you don't. So much of that is limited by body mass, muscle mass, height, weight, etc.

Let me ask you a question... Is this a football question or a running question?
