Age shouldn't be much of an issue if the couple loves one another (and that goes for older women and younger men too). As for TomKat, I think the marriage is weird. But since they are both weird as well, it might work. They have a cute kid.

Age does not matter, but, what matters to me is how many times the person was married before they met me. Marraige was meant to happen once, and only once, unless your spouse died. Then, you are free to marry again, according to the Bible.
