Yes it can happen, but the odds are very low.
Good luck

This has happened. I watched a show yesterday where a woman got pregnant with fraternal twins, then both eggs spilt so she was pregnant with quads, 2 sets of idenetical twins. Her first pregnany was triplets, a set of identical twins, and then a singleton, but she miscarried the twins early so she just had the one child.
* Stephanie is wrong, identical twins are not from an egg being fertilized by 2 sperm, that can not happen. It's from the egg spliting, making 2 copies of the same egg with the same DNA.

It is rare, but it happens. I just saw a show on Discovery Health Channel about a lady who released 2 eggs and they BOTH split, giving her two sets of identical twins.

Absolutely! This happens a lot with triplets! Basically as you stated the woman ovulates and releases 2 eggs that are both fertilized one is fertilized by 2 sperm producing identicals and one is fertilized by 1 sperm which is fraternal.

acorse stuff like that happens not a lot but it does happen. sometimes the babys dont even look a like. sometimes they are not the same sex. and some times you cant tell them apart. women sometimes even have more than three or four.
