I don't judge anyone based on their sexual orientation, their race, their gender, their religion or any other label. I make my decisions about people based on my personal experience with them - how nice they are, how friendly, kind...that sort of thing. Not based on generalizations. Most of the homosexual people I know are wonderful people, just trying to make their way in life, like anyone else.

I think they are a segment of the population that has been subject to a great deal of harassment and ridicule for someting that I do not belive to be a choice. As I am not gay, I cannot say 100% that it is or is not a choice, but I did not wake up one day m'self to say "I am a heterosexual"...no, around about puberty I found myself sexually attracted to women and not men - case closed.
Most gay people I have met are wonderful human beings, and want simply to be treated the same as everyone else - and I completely agree. If they want the right to get married, let them, it would not affect my life at all and would entitle them to the same legal treatment as a married straight couple. And I am not for just giving them legal coverage and calling it a "civil union" why reserve the name "marriage" to only those of a certain sexual orientation?
BTW, with the divorce rate hovering at about 50-60% (last I looked) and with a full 60% or more marriages having at least one count of adultery in them - and that's among those who answered the survey with a "yes", it seems that we heteros are doing a pretty crappy job on the "sanctity of marriage" front.
Bottom line, gays are people like you and I. Let 'em marry, let 'em serve, and let them live their lives. Here endeth the rant.

I think they are Human beings... and I am ultra progressive, but I will say. That the Gay issue serves as yet another fault line for an already fractionated people. I would submit that a living right for all living things would encompass the right of every living thing to choose it's own destiny, sexuality and life path..
Gay rights are not a real issue... sorry.
Lets move towards an equal living right for all living things including the planet.

My gay neighbor Mickey, is one of the coolest people on EARTH. He's a good and loyal friend to everyone. That and he's FUNNY as hell. He enjoys life - doesn't take it too seriously - and has the nicest lawn on the block. He loves to talk about his lawn.

Love is an awesome and great thing no matter who you choose to express it to. I am proud of you for being open and out, free thought and expression is something that should not and can not be caged.

I really don't think of gays. See I am hetero and I have no issue if gays want to be together. It just doesn't affect me. It doesn't affect my marriage. I say live and let live and by not concerning myself with gays I know I am accepting and letting them live as they choose.

I have no problems with gay people. I have gay friends & to me they are just as nice as my other friends. They are people who do as other people do, they work, pay bills, taxes, enjoy life. To me, all people should be treated as equals, whether you are black, white, straight, gay or whatever. Let's enjoy life & try to get along with everybody. Good day to all.

Something about "all men are created equal" should say it. Your personal preference may not agree with mine but something about "land of the free" sums it up.

I think the difference is that homosexual men have different preferences in their partners than I do and that female homosexuals have similar preferences in their partners as I do.

The same thing I think of people that engage in adultery, drug use, or drunkenness. It is behavior that is bad for families and society and should be discouraged.
It's a pity that you are proud of such bad behavior.
