About 20% of women report bleeding in the first trimester, and some thought the bleedigng was a period. So..if you are bleeding, you could still be pregnant. It's not a period though, because a period is defined as the disposal of the unused egg and lining of the uterus. The bleeding would be from something else. Even though about 20%, or 1 in 5 women have bleeding the first trimester, about half will miscarry, so it should always be reported to your OB right away so they can check the baby.

No you can not be pregnant if you still have your period. If your period stops then it might mean that you are pregnant but it could also just mean that your period is a little slow.

Yes, my friend had her period until she was in her 6th month of pregnancy. Go to the Dr and have them do a pregnancy test to know for sure. It is more reliable than an at home test and they can tell you how far along you are if you are.
