Are you prolife and procapital punishment?

No.
Just wondering how people thought about these things.

Pretty simple, the law states that dog fighting is illegal and abortions are not. Don't like the law? Change it.

How do you conflate one to the other? Is it because both are concerning "life issues"? That's similar to saying you are pro-life, but for capital punishment. Two separate issues with differing positions, but for different reasons. But here's a star because it made me think.

I personally do not support abortion except for medical reasons. The question about abortion is when does life begin? I don't believe that it begins, it is passed from the parents to the child. It takes a living being to create one. Others believe that they should have control over their own body and that the life created is not a being until viable. Apparently, an impossible issue to resolve.

In high school, abortion was used so many times as a persuasive speech in Speech Class that they quit permitting it as a topic. Not that it is not an important topic, but because it became monotonous.

I am for neither.

I am for neither! I think both are gross and horrible things to do! Abortion should be illegal unless a girl was raped and had no control over the situation. You should not be so reckless and get pregnant if you did not want kids. And dog fighting is just cruel. But then so is cock fighting. There are a lot of stupid things in this world I don't understand. I wish every body would get some common sense.

Yes, I support both abortion rights and a law against dog fighting. As a man, I don't see where it's my business telling a woman what I believe is the morally right thing to do with her body. I'd rather believe she's smart enough to make up her own mind. But I know that if I had something feeding off of me and growing in my belly I'd get to a doctor ASAP!

As for dog fighting, didn't the Romans have places where they forced living beings to fight for their lives for the entertainment of others? And have not following generations condemned them for this practice? Watching any living being suffer and die solely for one's entertainment is vicious, cruel, and in my opinion a valid reason to remove one from the gene pool. If you're going to kill something, do it quickly. And you better use it's body for something; eat the meat, tan it's hide, etc.

And for the person who believes that Liberalism is a mental disorder, can you point me to the scientific literature that agrees with you? Better yet, where in your scriptures does it state such? Every day I need to overcome my social anxiety and depression. Those, I believe, are qualifiable mental disorders. I don't choose to wear them like a cool t-shirt, nor do I want them. I get by as well as I can.

But did your God not give mankind a gift called free will? I don't think less of you for the beliefs you've chosen to accept. But I will remind you that my country is currently at war with a certain group that both opresses women's rights and believes that everyone else should follow their ideologies.

I believe women should have the right to decide what they do with their body. Still, abortion is brutality at its worst, as is dog and cockfights.

I wouldn't have an abortion, but the rest of the women can do as they please. However, I do think dog fighting and capital punishment should be abolished.

neither one of them is right and should be against the law. Let me ask you this question, why do people abort children when they could give them up for adoption, if they could not take of them? Why do people have sex, if they dont want a child? Dog fighting is just as wrong. Dogs are one of God's creatures and he never had any intention for them to be abused and eventually fought to death.

I'm for abortion rights because women should have the right to choose. It is not for me to tell them what is right and wrong. I wouldn't have one but I think people should be allowed to make their own choices. I do not believe it is murder unless you are doing a late term abortion.

I'm against dog fighting because it is cruel. My reaction to dog fighting isn't as strong as my reaction to more violent crimes against fellow humans though.

good question. i think abortion is terrible and i don't believe in it, but i don't think it should be totally outlawed. i think late term abortions should remain illegal. dog fighting is bad, but killing and torturing dogs is worse. a big part of the dog fighting issue that is overlooked is that it was an operation (the Vick case) that went across state lines and gambling was involved. i think gambling should be legal and regulated. dog fighting is cruel to animals but i think the public is overreacting. the Vick case is a celebrity case that has brought a subculture into the limelight.

If you're looking for consistency among liberals you'll be hard pressed.

As to the 'you can't be pro life' AND pro death penalty ruse, that won't fly because there's a significant difference. A child is innocent, a murderer is not. A murderer, through his actions, by taking life, understands and makes a decision to put his own life in peril. A child, having taken no life, committed no vile crime and having no choice, does not. This reality and it's significance seems to escape the shallow of mind.

I am realistic enough to know that banning either one is no guarantee it will stop. But dog fighting is more difficult to conceal so more can be done about it.
