Currently doing postgrad at Melbourne Uni and am looking for Berkeley (Cal) students/alumni to share in the venerable tradition of watching college football. Problem is, I have no clue where to watch a game (usually Sunday morning in Australia). Any suggestions?

GO BEARS!

Unfortunately, that's about the only bit of good news I can give you right now. I ransacked the Cal Alumni pages, and there isn't a chapter in Australia at the moment.

The best I can recommend is either find a bar (that opens really early) with global satellite TV and bribe the bartender to show the Cal game. Otherwise, you may have to borrow a widescreen computer monitor and watch streaming video of the game (and crack open a cold one while you're at your computer).

We play Tennessee this weekend. Let's hope for a resounding victory!

Try Crown Casino in Southbank. They have a Sports Bar that is open 24 hours, but not sure if they show college football. I'm in the same boat, though I'll be rooting for the other team...

Please post the best place to watch college football in Melbourne once you figure it out. Represent the PAC10 Bears.
