You'd be in the 8th grade. Here in the states, we start pre-school at 3 or 4 (depedning on when your parents decide to put you in) and kindergarten begins at 5. However, we have a sort of confusing way of doing things here when it comes to age and school. If you are born after September 1st, you are to be held back a year in school. Let's say you're 5 years old. Since your birthday is on the 30th of that month, you'd have to wait to start school next year instead of this one. Confusing, I know, but that how it's done. I have NO IDEA why it's done that way because it's so mind-boggling.
So, basically, it goes that you're 5 in kindergarten, 6 in 1st grade, 7 in 2nd grade, and so on...
I hope I helped!

most americans start 1st grade when age 6 by September 1st of that year. So by 9th grade kids are 14, some 15 by the end of school...

My son was born 5-10-1994, & he is 13 & going into 8th grade next week. You would be going into 9th grade, since you will be 14 next month...more that likely!

people generally start kindergarten the year they turn 5, - different locations have different cut off dates, but 5 is the general rule. You would have started kindergarten in September of 1998, so you would be in the 9th grade this year (freshman in HS).
