unfortunately side effects will occur when taking these medications, you gotta hang in there, and you'll get pregnant soon! 50mg is a low dose and hopefully that'll be enough for you, with respect to taking the herbal stuff, double check with your obgyn cause there are things that are better than others and you just have to make sure it does not have a negative impact, you can also ask an RE (fertility specialist) online for free and see what they think, try www.FertilityTies.com
good luck!

I just finished my 2nd round of clomiphene this month. I too get a small amount of upset stomach. I think it is just a side effect. Does your doctor know about the other pill you are taking? I don't know anything about it or its side effects. My doctor said you will typically ovulate 5 to 14 days after you take the last tablet. Last month we had sex every other day starting day 11 until ovulation. This month my doctor recommended using opk's in addition to my charting to help determine a more accurate time of ovulation in advance. What cycle day did you start taking clomiphene? I take mine days 5-9, 50 mg. Last cycle I didn't ovulate until about day 19. I would suggest charting your cycles and using opks to help determine when you ovulate if you are not doing these things already. Read the prescription info that you got from the pharmacy and it will tell you all the side effects for this medicine. There are quite a few. Use the free website fertilityfriend.com and read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". Best of luck ttc!!!

You are taking pills that are messing with your hormones in an effort to stimulate ovulation.

You're going to feel sick and strange and all sorts of things. Any time your hormones fluctuate, be it PMS pregnancy or pills you will feel the same things. These things include nausia, cramping, light headedness, headaches, tender breasts, sore nipples, irritability, and so on.

Once you are late for your period take a test, until then, go about your life as usual. You dont want to add stress to the mix.
