$5000 per annum in educational assistance is offered at select biotech and pharma companies for further education in a field related to your position within the company. My question is whether a pharma-focused MBA would be considered relevant to a scientific research position. As I have a PhD with experience, there would be a limited management component to my job. I am a research scientist, but am very interested in transitioning from a scientist role to one in project management or business development at the same company. Obviously, I do not yet have a job in the pharma industry (work at gov. research lab).... so I can not ask my HR department. Many thanks for your input.
