Often it does if they are militant about their beliefs. I think they try to use their celebrity status to sway the public and I don't think that is right.

No it doesn't deter me from being a fan. Everyone has a right to their opinion. We as Americans have that God given right to have freedom of speech to speak out against what we like and dislike.

I live in California. Arnie's political ideas turn me off. But usually, it makes no difference to me who a celebrity endorses. Simply because they don't have the same opinion that I do doesn't make them any less of a person (actor, actress, entertainer).
