Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

Of course not. I have been interested in our space program sense it started. I was a kid and found it fascinating. I still do. I watch all the launches and landings. I get the NASA channel on tv and watch quite a bit. What is going on in our space program is real. Don't you think if we can put up all of these satellites and use them so effectively we could put a man on the moon?

All 6 NASA Moon landings really happened just as they say.

No, that is just what a dumb FOX mockumentary said. I have seen other shows on Discovery that refute this silly one. You must look at both sides of any issue before you form a firm opinion. If you do that, you will realize FOX was lying. I say there should be laws about such lies that claim to be true, e.g. this farce and Michael Moore's output.

No one will be able to prove it either way (assuming you mean the original one). There are many theories out there that explain how everything was fake, but there are an equal amount of rebuttals that explain why the explanations are wrong. Personally, I completely and fully believe we went to the moon, but unless one of the original astronauts admits it was fake on his deathbed (similar to Deepthroat of the Nixon era), then we'll probably never be able to prove it either way. There are many reports of both sides of the argument out there, and I'd suggest you do some research and decide for yourself.

[Edit] In response to Sweetheart:
There are some strange coincidences that relate to this. For instance, many (more than should be probable) of the top officials during the era died of natural and unnatural causes around this period. This would explain how it could have been pulled off, and blackmail is not uncommon for government secrets. I'm not saying I don't think you're right, but you can't use this as proof.

[Edit] I like how so many people voted me down for being the Devil's Advocate here, but you really can't prove it either way:

Wisemancumth: It can easily be reproduced with wires.
Somewanna: Moon rocks have been found in Antarctica long before the moon missions.
Minootoo: It was confirmed by radio and video transmissions, which could have been fudged or sent from the shuttle in orbit.
Johnny: Robots had been visiting the moon long before people landed, and could have easily placed these mirrors in the right places. Just because they're there doesn't prove *people* put them there.
Garrett: I agree, FOX is dumb.

I'm not saying we didn't visit the moon (again I am a firm believer we did), but there is no way to prove it. There is an argument to every proof of us going or not, and a counterargument to every argument. The reason the government can get away with scandals and lies is based on the fact that people blindly believe whatever they're told. Do some research and decide for yourself.

Maybe or maybe not. I hope the NASA moon mission is not fake.

No they left some special mirrors om the moon that I ranged on it with a laser for several years. The accuracy at that range was 10 CM.

Which moon mission in particular? Two flew in lunar orbit, six landed and one flew past after a near-disaster. With another two flights in Earth orbit and loads of unmanned development flights and test programs, which part are you suggesting might be fake and why?

No. It is not a fake. But for some people in our world everything is fake..like you, me, the Sun and even the moon itself! :)
