There are many definitions and examples of "class."
One of my favorite and most inspiring is when people treat each other with respect, regardless of their "class" or social status.
By this I specifically mean;
Being cordial and polite to everyone during daily intercourse,
especially those who work at common labor. (waiters, clerks, construction, sanitation, farming etc.) These supposedly "menial" jobs are vital and life enriching for everyone regardless of social standing. That's why it is so disheartening to see anyone be rude or condescending to those that work so hard at all the thousands of important jobs that superficially seem to have low class.
Another definition of "class" is therefore anyone who does any job well, and cares naught for the spurious opinions of those who supposedly have "social class."
I feel a special respect for those who are intelligent and brave enough to challenge hypocrisy, political corruption, or violence, sometimes at their own personal risk. These actions reflect "class" by showing humanistic values in spite of personal gain or danger.
People who are honest, show up on time, do their jobs and so live their lives to the fullest have "class."
People who bravely speak the truth in the face of popular misconceptions show "class" of the highest order.
"Class" is doing the right thing, being the best you can in the situation you're in, being fair, open-minded and honest.
One thing is certain, wealth or public office are no indication of class. True class comes from the noble character of the individual, not what the media or the populace bestow. Every institution that seems to have "class" in the typical sense has been corrupted by people with absolutely no class: Prevaricating politicians, corrupt cops and buggering bishops defile the "class" those professions are supposed to confer.
True "class" is being a good human... that's all.

Well according to the social stratification table the job you do determines your social class?
I completely disagree, I'm working class because I was born that way, in to a family of working class, of this I'm very proud!
There's no way I would ever call myself middle class just because I have a job that say's I am! lmao
Of course it's also a place where you go to learn! LOL

Someplace I am suppose to be right now... Ha Ha!
If you meant the word as an adjective instead of a noun then it is a word commonly used to refer to someone with proper pedigree or a high standard of social etiquette and standing. If someone dresses nicely, speaks well, is educated, and exercises good manners, then some may refer to that person as having "class." Understand? Cheers!

Rising above the classless behavior of others. Not following the crowd-taking a stand for your beliefs in the face of adversity.
