Than well thought out ones?

Not necessarily.

Knee-jerk reactions are mainly based on emotions, not thought. They are a response to anything that challenges one's own long-held beliefs or values. It can be taken as "offensive," hence the emotional reaction. Knee-jerk reactions can also be the result of a stressful environment that pushes someone to the brink.

The level of honesty, or even deceit, can not be measured by a single emotional reaction alone. It has to occur on a consistent basis over time to truly measure one's personality.

No...because knee jerk reactions are usually fear based. Well thought out ones would be more honest.
