I dont understand. If Hurricaine Katrina caused millions of dollars of damage, and there are still way to many homes that have not been repaired or replace, Why is it that they found time to get the SUPER DOME up and running? Is it more important than people having a place to live?

The rich took all of our donations, just like in 9/11... The executives ( who had monumental insurance policies) were given huge donations, because they "needed" them and the "ordinary workers" ( many who were barely insured, if at all) were given much smaller donations, because "they has smaller salaries"... I was furious!!! The wealthy and heavily insured businesses of The French Quarter and the hotels were given many of our donations meant for the poorest Americans of the Gulf Coast, so that "the city could get up and running again..." This makes me so very sick, i cannot express it in words!!!

Yeah, I guess football is more important than people having homes. It's really sad that the government works like this.

Yes, the superdome generates money....housing on the other hand, especially in poor areas, just "wastes" the govts. money, especially since a lot of those houses in N.O. were section 8, or HUD, ect. They don't care about the wellbeing of poor people.

The appearance of stabilty is more important than actual stability. If we can see the Superdome on TV, then everything is back to normal.
