Rod has been a workhorse since he has been in the league. Maybe his age has caught up to him.

Shanahan has all the respect in the world for Rod Smith. You can bet that they'll give him this year to try to recoup 100% from his hip surgery and they'll give him a shot at coming back next year. Rod Smith is a class guy and the essense of a professional athlete.

There comes a time in a player's career when they have to ask themselves if they have what it takes to continue playing. Rod may be at that point.

I respect players who stay with a team their entire career. Rod is a lifelong Bronco and should be commended for that. He may not make the NFL HOF, but if he retires he will certainly be looked at as a great Bronco.

Rod's hip is pretty torn up. I know he's been working hard to recover but I just don't see it happening. He is the greatest undrafted player in history and a class act all the way. I sure will miss seeing #80 out there.

In Rod we trust.

GO BRONCOS!!!

He shouldn't be on it for too long. I hope not anyway.
