Why are you in my head?

Actually, I thought about taking the course after I got a speeding ticket a couple of years ago, but never followed through. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, I do feel some anxiety at night when I'm driving, because all those big SUVs and high pickup trucks LOVE to get up in my back window with their bright lights and push, push, push.

It's not so bad on the interstates, but on two-lane curvy country roads, it's terrifying, because there's no way to pull over to let them pass.

Anyone who does 55 would be the cause of an accident when someone going faster comes up on them, unfortunately. So in many places the speed limit was raised to 65. Now everybody goes 75 because some state police officer was heard on national TV that they'll give you some slack if you're no more than 10 MPH over the speed limit.

No I do not do 55, I for one do not want to get run over by all the other drivers going over the speed limit. I only feel anxious, when I am in an area that is new to me and I am not sure of the directions to get to someplace, as I am trying to look and drive at the same time.

You're kidding, right? If all I did was drive 55, I would be run over in a beat of a heart! Here, if you do not do at least 70, you impede traffic. I never empede traffic, trust me on that one. I can tell you that one of the best ways to meet nice police is to LEAD the traffic. Recently, I was stopped for doing 111 mph on the 101 here in CA....the officer asked me if I knew how fast I was going, ....what am I gonna say? No? I don't think he would have believed me...so I just said, well, in excess of 110 mph. He wrote me a ticket for 89 mph, told me that if he were to write me up for the actual speed, I would have to return to that county and appear in court ! (about 200 miles from here), and I would lose my license for 3 months, have to go to traffic school, etc. As it was, I paid the fine via credit card and was done with it. (by mail, not to the police officer). In general, CA state police are a very good bunch. Now, I suppose, I should hold down the speed, and I promise to do so....when my eyesight starts failing.! OK?

I am a senior and I drive in LA. No one drives 55. If you do you will get run over. I don't like to drive 80 but if the traffic is moving at this speed you have to.I feel anxious when I leave my house but I am not crazy. Some of us old folks must do things that are not safe just to get around. If you leave too much room in front of you someone will cut in and hit their brakes. This makes me angry and makes for a dangerous situation. But life goes on.

I do the speed limit, unless it is unsafe. I try to drive during less congested times. I am not anxious unless I don't know for sure where I am going. I just got a GPS navigation system a couple of months ago. It really helps. It says stay in whatever lane and says turn in 200'. It will dirrect you around traffic, if you want to pay for this service.

I live in the high desert. Speed limit on the interstate highway system varies from 65 to 75 miles an hour. That's what I do and I feel comfortable.

I dont normally have to drive on the interstate here but when I do I always get nervous. We can go 65 without a speeding ticket so I try to stick to that speed. I dont want my car going faster than my reactions can handle.

LOL, You would not stay alive at 55 for very long in a middle or fast lane on the LA, San Diego, or San Francico freeways. We really feel sympathy for so many easterners(license plates id them) who get creamed on the bay bridge EVERY week going into the city. Awful.

I live in the mountains and the SL is 55 and on a straight away it might be 65, on I 75 its usually 75mph if I lived in Germany on the Autobahn, I think it's called, I would probably not be alive right now.
