Why did I have to change my password on myspace?

When i signed it, it said that i HAD to change my password.
why?

Lately there has been a lot of phishing and spamming on myspace. It is best to change your password at least once a week to keep others from phishing your account.

because proobly somebody took yor password!!!!!!!!!!!!!! duhhhhhh
