I mean, they seem to let the real criminals and racists and people spouting hate speech run riot.

But I got my question deleted that had 62 good, interesting answers because I guess I worded it wrong.

I said "please join in" in the title before I asked the question.
I guess they must have thought it was a "game"

Well done yahoo. Between that and all the spamming&advertising that has just exploded on here Yahoo Answers will probably be completely wrecked by next month.

Just like the police going after the tame ones and letting the real problem get out of control.

(for the record I am just as annoyed when other people's questions get deleted for no reason, you'll see it mentioned all through my profile)

no offence taken hank, but by wrecked I meant it they would actually close it down.
I think it would be a real shame if yahoo answers was no more :*(

I don't really think of them as the police. They are more like old play ground monitors. They have a few basic rules, but
most of the kids know how to get around them. The groups that have banned together for protection have turned into a
gang, and as usual, power corrupts. I have a feeling that we
think a little more of yahoo's governing power than we ought.
You are right. There is no serious attempt to police the hate
stuff, or blatant intimidation. So what does that mean?

I really don't think it's Y!A police. I really think it's other users ratting people out that they don't like/agree with. No offense intended to you, it's just what I believe to be the real problem.

Even if it was a game, who cares? People that are getting upset over a game need to unplug their computer and go read a book.

I think it's already wrecked. It's not what is was.

what's irritating is having your question or answer deleted when it's an honest to goodness innocent blurb, and the intentional violators are not violated. they remove within in minutes of posting, but when you reply to the notice, it could take them days to respond, if you even get a response, and then i think it's a lame computer generated email, with no reason or answer.!....oh well...it ain't worth the stressing...it's only points~♥~

I can report Skin Head and the new HATE TEAM over and over and over and finally I asked Yahoo if he was one of their creations since they leave him on here for hours .............5 out of 6 of my previous questions , in a row, were deleted. No foul anything.........gone. Sometimes when I report someone in the detail part I ask? 'Are any of you on the night shift awake?'

Yeah, Yahoo! only takes action when someone makes formal complaints, and I think people are too worn out to try to fight spam and bots anymore.

It is not always the Y-police .There are religious zealots who after they find out your beliefs ,will REPORT and Flag every question you ask .I call them the Holy Trollers..
