How many times did I see John Wayne die on TV?
How many times did he really die? Was that shown on TV?

A man, sitting in a barber's chair, sees a white car hit a pedestrian and drive off. He reports it to the police. However another witness, who was in the street, has reported that the car was red. The difference? The man inside was looking through a red painted window.

News reports show pictures from points of view that favor the story in the way they want it reported. Bits that portray the truth or other points of view are edited out.

Psychologists talk of what is termed "perceptual blindness" - you don't see what you don't want to see (wives often say that their husbands - including me - suffer from domestic blindness)

'cause sometimes people see only what they WANT to see. We've all heard "hindsight's 20/20" . . . and because there is such things as illusions.
