Oh please... i really need help.
I moved away from family and friends last year to be with my boyfriend (army) and just found out my boyfriend is going to Afghanistan next month for 7 months.
My 21st is in early November and he wont be here... i cant go home until Christmas because of money issues.
I have only one friend here and she decided to fly away ON MY BIRTHDAY! She knows i will be alone!
Im so scared that i will be alone and sad on my 21st, i have NO FRIENDS or FAMILY up here... i still have time though
1. What should i do for my birthday
2. Is my friend a true friend for choosing to leave ON my birthday? she could have avoided it.

ti nis reall a very pathetic situation we have here, but there is always a way out.As for ur birthday,u could make yr self happy even without ur friend and ur boyfriend.U can go for sight seeing,or to places that interest u.If u stay alone,i bet u thet u will definitely break down.As for ur friend i dont think she is a good friend.Since she could have avoided the travel, she would have atleast stay with u,knowing that u will be alone on ur Birthday.

Hang in there, girl. It sounds terrible. Why don't you pay your family a visit on your birthday (and letting them know beforehand)? I can imagine a lot worse things that spending your 21st with your family. Otherwise...throw a party for all the people from your work place, tell them you're new, you don't know anybody and it's your birthday, and this is a great opportunity to get to know the people around you.

Welcome to adulthood. That is sometimes the way it is. How about making plans with a coworker or something just to cheer yourself up? One time i went out by myself and had a great time.

Your friend has her own life too. Don't blame her because she is your only friend and has plans. It is not her fault.
