First, please let me start this by saying that I know they were wrong for leaving their children so you don't need to tell me that in your answer. That's been covered and YES they were wrong, stupid, neglectful and whatever else

What I would like to know and I do believe in honesty.

Do you want the McCanns to be found quilty or connected to their daughter going missing? As I said, apart from the fact that they left the children, do you want to see the McCanns accused of possibly murdering or covering up an accident that involved their little girl?

I said I believed in honesty. I don't believe that they had anything to do with it. The questions that have been asked on here have accused them of some horrible things.

Forget the fund, forget the posters & wristbands or travelling around meeting people. Just a yes or no would do (that's asking a lot I know). I'm not saying you can't have an opinion but please don't go over the facts already covered.

Many thanks

I'm sorry for using the label Anti McCanns but it's been used on here for so long a bit like McFans. They are guilty of neglect and yes, they should stand and say that publicly. I'm not saying you can't have an opinion but it's only going to be what is already known.

There are some members who have made hardened accusations about them so I would be interested in what they say.

I can't say anything as to guilt or innocence. Only they know that. However I do not believe they have done anything to Maddie and I think the only thing that keeps them in Portugal is their guilt at leaving her alone.
They have the twins to consider now and I think they should go home. They cannot let this guilt colour the lives of the twins. They are also entitled to a life and the are not giving them the normality that they should have. I think they should now stop feeling sorry for themselves and do what is best for their children and go home.
Let the police get on with it. I am sure the police here will keep them up to date with what is going on in Portugal. There are police officers from here already dealing with it. There is really no need for them to be there as well.

P.S I am not anti mcCann. Before someone suggest that I am. I am just concerned for the other two children. They are very young and they need their parents too.

Who is putting the thumbs down on my answer. Are they mad. There is nothing wrong with what I have just said.

Ok you want honesty from me so you will get it.

Let's start with something first. I am Anti Gerry and Anti Kate NOT Anti Madeleine. Remember Madeleine was the victim in all this.

The mystery has not being solved yet. So I do not know what happened to Madeleine so I am not going to jump the gun and say this happened or that happened.

The only part of this whole saga I know is what you have already said about them neglecting their children. OK I agree with that. But what some Anti's or others seem to forget is that they still have two other children. I think they should be punished or charged in some way that does not effect the twins. After all I am sure we do not want them to suffer.

Firstly, can I say that I do not consider myself an "anti-McCann", (my concern has always and will always be Madeleine), but for simplicity's sake, that term will have to do.

Secondly, I don't WANT the McCann's to be investigated for anything more than the Neglect issue, UNLESS evidence emerges which suggests that they know more than they are letting on. I don't think that's spiteful, just logical.

Thirdly, I fail to see why there has been such hysteria surrounding the McCann's "possibly" being questioned as unofficial suspects. Look, in cases like these the families HAVE to be considered as "suspects", just as anyone else who came into contact with Madeleine should be too. Statistically speaking you are far more likely to be hurt or killed by someone you know than a stranger. To exclude her family from the investigation, simply because they are grieving is counter-productive. The name of the fund is "Leave no stone unturned" right? Unfortunately, whether the "McFans" want to admit it or not, the "parents maybe having something to do with Maddie's disappearance" stone has to be turned too.

I'm sorry if I have "gone over facts already covered" but in defending my views, I'm afraid it is necessary. Can I also point out that, in asking if "we WANT" anything to happen to the McCann's you are in fact perpetuating the myth that "Anti's" are rubbing their hands in glee at the thought. Most of us simply want the McCann's to admit to nelecting their children, and to face the correct consequences for that act, before it sets some kind of precedent. I don't want to hear "The McCann's did it, so why shouldn't we?" being used as a defence in future child neglect cases.

Madeleine is my focus in this whole debacle. She never derserved to be in such a vulnerable position in the first place.

My hearts wants to think that no parent could possibly do anything to horrible to their children so no I hope we find out i the end that they had nothing to do with it besides the obvious neglect. I know you say not to say anything in your answer as far as the neglect but the thing is had she not been neglected we would not be answering questions daily on YA about it. If evidence is found implicating the McCanns being the guilty part into her dissappearence then yes they should get a fair trial and be judged by a jury of their peers and if enough evidence is shown they should be punished accordingly. I do fear this has become such high profile and they have so much money now that they would somehow get off with a slap on the wrist just as all celebrities do and they have somewhat gained celebrity status it seems.

The McCanns made a mistake in the way they have carried out their part in the search for their daughter. I wouldn't want them charged with anything unless it is proved beyond a doubt.

I think a lot of people want them to be connected to the disappearance; for my part, I have always been convinced that they are involved (probably not in the way you would imagine) but it would not bother me to admit I am wrong if I am. Sometimes I get it right, but not always.

I would like to be right in this case for the mere reason that if my theory on the 'abduction' is correct, then Madeleine is alive and unharmed.

You do realise dont you, that all of this mcthingemybob argument could be put to rest simply by Gerry appearing on Tv, and with a genuine tear in his eye, state that what they did was wrong.
That they are genuinely sorry for what they did, and the only thing that matters right now, is getting their daughter back.

I dont feel for the parents one way or the other, like everyone else, I do believe that they shouldn't have continuously left those children over a period of 6 days.
any on here who slate the mcthingemybobs, who are parents themselves, have all, at one time or another, been guilty of some form of neglect of their children (even if it was only leaving their kids in the car whilst they paid for their petrol).

Yet that doesn't detract from the fact that neither of the Mc parents have ever, sincerely shown an ounce of remmorse for their actions, never shown a glimmer of guilt and have concentrated on their own image in preference to finding their child.

Had this not been the case, then the antimacs would probably have little argument.

I don't think they had anything to do with events after he disappearence, but the fact that they regularly left thier children whilst on holiday was the catalyst for all that has happened since. Childcare facilities were available to them but the chose not to use them. For this reason I think that they should face neglect charges. The young twins are only babies, and shouldn't have been left. Even if Maddie hadn't been taken, what if one of the babies had woken crying and she had tried to pick them up to comfort them? She could have injured or dropped them, or anything could have happened. They were at risk from being left alone.

I am not anti McCann, I would like to see justice for Madeleine. I do not think that they killed or harmed her, leaving her alone was enough.

I just want to know the truth about what happened that night. I am keeping an open mind as to whether they were or were not directly involved in Madeleines disappearence (other than that they left her in the first place). I just want Madeleine to be found one way or another so that the truth can be established as to what happened to her that night. Sadly, as time goes on I dont believe that they are going to find her alive. I do not want to see any "innocent" person accused of something they have not done, but in the same breath I do believe that the McCanns should be dealt with by Social Services for leaving the children on their own. This cannot be condoned as acceptable, if it is then what is that telling people? That it is perfectly okay to do this? They should be treated as anyone in the UK would be treated if found out to be leaving children of that age on their own!

Edit: Why the thumbs down? Would you rather I said that I want them to go down for murdering Madeleine before it has been proven either way? Just dont understand the mentality of people on this site! It worries me!
