It's quite simple. It's the power that you give your religious nutters in the States. The RN's will always be against gay's. It makes them feel superior. It keeps their real activities swept under the carpet so they can keep having sex in airport toilets and not having to be seen to be living up to the same rules that they force others to abide by. Perhaps this is a gross generalisation, but I'm sure it happens.

Selfhate, that's a sad reality a great part of the moral majority has to live with every day.
The amount of questions about this subject and also the level of a big part of those questions, not yours, give me the impression America still isn't dealing in a mature way with sex and everything related to it.
America has higher teen pregnancy rates than liberal countries like the Netherlands where everyone can be who they are and no one needs to hide.Where people aren't forced to live up to standards that aren't human(even most priests can't live up to abstinence only for **** sake) but are thought how to protect themselves..
Open minded good sexual education and tolerance are needed if you want to prevent these types of tragedies for ALL involved

Because the Republicans support keeping the current laws intack rather than rewriting laws to add special laws for gay people. It's not that they are against gay people it is that they are against laws the are only for gay people rather than allowing them the same freedoms that everybody gets.

You weren't kidding in your profile when you said you liked to stir things up! As a fellow writer and friend and Hetero female republican, I am going to bypass adding my two cents to this question.

You are off the charts in your AS$umptions that the GOP has a monopoly on homesexuality. Why in hell is it such a freaking concern to you? or have you nothing more substantial on your plate to discuss?

It's so decent people don't have to be subjected to seeing you and your she-man, in your flannel shirts and mullets, acting indecently in public.

Gay people have exactly the same rights as hetersexual people.
