Im 18 and for about 6 months maybe more now after every time i have my period i get this weird metally smelling discharge and alot of it and it smells sorta yuck and was wondering what this could be! it usually goes away after a week after my period stops! can someone help! i don't think this is an infection or it would be around all the time not just curtain times of the month its sorta browny reddish colour! i thourght it could have been some stuff left over from the period that didnt get flushed out or something like that! please help!

I'm 48 now, but when I was your age, the brownish blood would always smell a bit yuck. Keep good personal hygiene, making sure you wash all "crevices" with a mild soap. Also using tampons lessens the smell of ... how can I put it nicely?... dead blood. (sorry)

That smell can be because of the period itself but I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well to have them evaluate the situation further.
