The tip of my corn snakes tail seems to be dead. The dead part is only 3mm, my snake is about 10 inches long. There is no feeling in the dead part of his tail but in the past month the dead part has grown about 1 mm in size. Should I be worried?

How do you know there is no feeling in his tail? He can't talk. I doubt there's a problem. I've never heard of a snake's tail dying. If it's growing, it's not dead. And even if it is, there's nothing that can be done, nor will it bother the snake. I've seen wild snakes that had their tails bitten off by predators, and they were just fine.

This usually happens when a bit of the old shed remains on the tail tip. The old skin contricts the blood supply and tissue death results. If you were lucky this necrotic tip may just have fallen off but if you have noticed it spreading further up the body then yes, see a vet. It's a fairly simple procedure to remove it or treat it at this stage but can turn into a life threatening infection if it is allowed to spread further up.

Increase the humidity in his tank, then try to remove the remaining shed that stuck to his tail.

In the future, mist his tank often to prevent it from happening again, or give him a moist hide.
