You probably won't know, but If you are really worried, hardware stores sell a lead testing kit for testing items liek that. They were made popular after those toy cars came in taht had lead paint on them. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, they are more things that contain lead that you can't do anything about.

If you own anything that uses electricity, it has lead solder in it. If you have indoor plumbing odds are you have copper pipe with lead solder. If your house is old enough you may have lead pipe with lead solder. If you have a smoke detector, it has radioactive Americium-241 in it. If you have solvents or cleaning products most are toxic chemicals.

I beg to differ..... back in the '50's, a pottery called Homer Laughlin China CO. was producing a pottery called FIESTA... to get the bright, new colors that the pottery came in, they used lead in the paint/glaze that went on it..... around that same time, folks suddenly realized it wasn't good for either the workers or the folks who bought and used the pottery.... so the practice was stopped.....

don't mean to upset you, but I'd not use it ..we just don['t know for sure........ read here, too...

you don't know but surely they are painted then glazed - I wouldn't worry if you like using them ... alternatively sell them and go to your local store and get some more that weren't made in Asia!
