I came off the pill at the beginning of July. I had terrible side effects from this, including nausea, headaches, BAD back pains, heartburn, flu-like symptoms, irritable and moodiness, sore breasts etc. My period came about 4 days early, and was only 3 days long. The symptoms have eased alot and I have been feeling better in myself.

Some of the symptoms, the back pain, sore breasts etc. has started again in the last couple of days, but I think that I am due on my period in 2 days so this is normal.

I have accepted a promotion at work and thus decided to wait longer before we ttc. I dont want to risk it so am thinking of returning on to the pill. Does anyone have experience of this, will I go through all those symptoms again because I dont think I can put myself through that again!!!!!

I don't know what brand of pill you were on before but if the symptoms were caused because the dosage of hormone was too high you may be able to try something like Yaz or Alesse (which are ones that have a lower dose of hormones in them). Going to a lower dose pill might be of help.

I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well to see what they think to see which brand might be of help to you so that you don't have those symptoms again.

Also, for the moodiness if it happens again you can try B6 either in a bottle by itself or as part of a bottle of B Complex. You can find it at the major drugstores like Wal-Mart.
