Hey , my name is Lara , I`m 20 years old. I`m studying computer science. I`ve always been one of the best students , but during the last couple of months I`m feeling like I`m being stuck. It`s hard for me to concentrate on studying since my ex (we broke up a year ago) is calling me all the time and sending really ugly and unpleasant text messages. Since we live near each other he also appears in every couple weeks at my front door knocking and ringing the bell . It`s really going on my nerves , I don`t know what to do. Should I report him? Please help.

Woh! Sounds like trouble. He's certainly not worth you flunking out on your studies.

I would save some of his messages for future evidence, should the need arise.
If you feel even the slightest bit threatened, then you really should report him.

Don't need to let him know you may report him. He doesn't call before he comes over!

Lara,
you are being victumized by this guy and it is now bordering on 'stalking' !! My advice is for you to put an end to it all NOW -- and the best way in which to do this -- is to bring the situation to the police !! If this fails to get satisfactory results -- place a restraining order on him -- in most places within the USA this only runs something like a filing fee charge as far as an expense is concerned -- and well worth it !! And, as a final solution -- if all else fails -- have a couple of really big dudes with time on their hands -- meet up with this lunatic totally unannounced somewhere and simply "suggest" that he find better hobbies to pursue than harassing YOU !!!

Definitely, don't let him push you around, study is everything and leads you into the future, hassles from others don't. If you let him do that, you will let others in the future do that. Dont let him make you feel like its your fault and you are the blame. Tell the teachers or the heads and make a complaint to the police to give him a wake up call to back off. Tell them you are upset over and a little afraid for your well being. Stand up for your self. Good luck

is he really ur EX or ur present?
what i mean by that is that if he is ur EX, then u shuldnt have any consideration for him as he is now EX and not going to come back (which he does just to trouble u), and whats important to u is ur own career, not ur EX. so u shud just ignore him and report if he troubles in excess.

and if, he is still ur present one, then u shud consider talking to him and clarifying rather than disturbing urself.

another thing may be that he may be ur EX but you might not still be the EX for him.. he mighht still be looking for you only... consider this point also, as if he still likes u, he wont stop coming back..

concentrate on ur studies rather than on the door.

Good Luck.

hi lara, i know how stressful this can be. most states now have anti-stalking laws. i don't know if yours is one of them. i would at least make out a police report, plus you can find out all your options from the police. be sure and emphasize your fears. i hope this guy gives up soon, maybe he will some police interference. good luck nd stay safe!!

Change your phone number and go to the Police about harrassment. Maybe even court for a PFA order.

Yes I think so. Keep the ugly text messages for evidence to show the cops. He is harassing you.

get the negativity out of your life. If he bothers you, exert your assertiveness, and tell him he will have to stop, because he is being annoying. If he doesn't, report him to the police as he is a harrassment, and disturbing your peace.

You should try to reason with him and if that does not help, then tell him that unfortunately you will have to find a more strong way to get him to understand. Good Luck

Change your number, and get a restraining order. You dont need any added stress..school does a good job of that alone!
