Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.

The last time I took silver to the coin shop silver dimes were going for 80c each. Quarters would be more but it depends on the current price of silver which can be found above on the websites.

It depends on the date and condition of the coin. Some are worth only the silver value, dealers tend to pay about 7 times face. Some like the 1932-D or S are worth over a $100 each in grades a low as good. Best bet see a coin dealer or two. With out dates I can't even give you a ballpark figure.
