I posted this question before my guppy is chasing my platy and looks like its attacking it....but I'm not sure.
They are both yellow, its a male guppy, and the guppy is alot smaller than the platy.
I have 3 male guppies, 1 platy, 1 mollie, 4 tetras, 1 plec.

The reason your guppy is chasing your platy, is because it's sick

You will need to treat your whole tank either with meds or with the salt treatment

the salt treatment works as follows
Turn up the heat to 88 degrees
Take a clean cup, and put tank water in it, put 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt per gallon into it, that means if you have a 10 gallon tank you will need 10 tablespoons of salt
dissolve the salt and pour it slowly into your tank
do daily partial waterchanges of 25% and keep up with the salt treatment, but only treat the new water, that means you take out 2.5 gallons of water, so you dissolve another 2.5 tablespoons of salt to put into your

When you see no more white spots turn the temperature one day after it back down to normal and do a 50% waterchange and stop with the salt treatment

Keep also up with weekly partial waterchanges of 25% with a gravel siphon

hope that helps
good luck

Remove the yuppy that is being chased, and see if the Platy chases one of the other guppies, If it does, then you know you have a bully fish.

It might be the platy is sick or not in a healthy condition. Usually fish who are weak or sick gets attacked. If the fish is really sick, I suggest you to move the fish to the hospital tank and diagnose its problem. Start out with the old fashion salt water bath. If it is bacterial infection, use medicine that contains malachite green chloride/antibiotic. If it is parasite, 1 spoonful of salt per gallon would do. Otherwise, buy medicine that removes parasite. Hope it helps!

could be trying to mate with the platy... is the platy a female?
the guppy might thought the platy is his female species, female livebearers are larger than the males...

if you'er not sure, separate them first, chasing can be very stressful for the fish...

Guppies usually, like red-tailed sharks, just like to chase. In a community tank, if there's a lot of 'em that's about all they do but sometimes I have seen one or two renegades that were fin-nippers.
