My friend died of suicide yesterday morning and I want to write a poem for her to read at her wake about the beautiful person she was and how her friendship meant everything to me.
Ive kind of started it:
To you my friend
Where do I begin?
I dont want to say goodbye
All I do is cry
And thats all I have, if it sounds crap or if you want to add to it please can you help me. I would never write this as my own work as it wasnt and I wouldnt take the credit for it.
Thankyou for your help everyone. If you have lost a friend through suicide then you must know how hard this time is for her friends and family as we didnt understand her pain or see this coming. Maybe you could add that in the poem.

And wish I had just one more day,
To tell you how I felt for you,
And wished your dreams had all come true.
Your in my mind and in my heart,
So sorry that you had to part.
I hope you are in a better place,
and I will never forget your lovely face.
My condolences to you. She must have been a great friend for you to write her a poem. Suicide is a horrible way to lose a friend. It is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. Too bad she did not realize that.

keep on writing your feelings and the truth about how you feel this will help your own healing........sorry to hear the passing over of a friend grief takes time ..give your self time to grieve your words do not need to rhyme just write from your heart....

i can' add things and I think it's better if you're the one who's adding things. But firstly, in writing poetry, you need to jot down the things you want to say first. You need to know what you want to say before trying to think of how to rhyme words.
