Gmail search?

While using the search feature in gmail, is there any method to search based on certain specifications

Eg : received before .... date
or
received from .... before ..... date
or
Sent to .... after ... date etc.

If so pls explain the procedure

yes there is a way after the search button there is a link Advanced search click on it and you can see what u've asked.
