Did anyone see the parade and the spectacular firworks for our Birthday?

parade and fireworks were spectacular. One of the best I have experienced in my life.

Went to Everton Brow to look over the city and saw all four displays from there.
Absolutely spectacular, thousands of people had the same idea and broke into spontaneous applause at the end. It was hard to decide which to watch, The Metropolitan Cathedral, Anglican, or the two at the Pier Head.
Of the four we saw I would say that the smaller display at the Pier Head was the least inspiring, but this was the one shown in papers and on TV. the other three where brilliant, especially the Metropolitan Cathedral.
A final point, could you Imagine Manchester having similar celebrations? You wouldn't be able to get away from the coverage. Liverpool gets one reporter and a couple of minutes on the regional programme. The fire works got about 10 seconds at the end of the next days programme.
The 'one show' did more than the regional programme.
